How’s that whole “Obama is the pro-life candidate” thing working out for you?
Just in case you missed it, the Plan B abortion pill is now available to 17-year-olds without a prescription, courtesy of our benevolent ruler’s administration.
At this point I see two types of Obama Catholics:
1. Catholics duped into believing Obama really was the more pro-life of the 2 candidates by the likes of liberal priests and Doug Kmiec.
2. Catholics who knew the truth but voted Obama anyway.
Both are culpable, but group #1 is certainly less culpable. I will not judge the hearts of either group, but I will most certainly judge their actions. The actions of both groups elected this president, and so far he’s done nothing to reduce the number of abortions worldwide. And we knew he wouldn’t.

I understand your concern, but Plan B is NOT the abortion pill. It is an emergency contraceptive.
The abortion pill is RU-486. Plan B is not RU-486.
Please get the facts straight. That this is now available to 17-year-olds does in no way, shape or form increase the number of abortions worldwide.

If you buy into the abortion industry’s redefinition of the word abortion, you’re right, it’s not an abortion pill. Problem is, I don’t work in a world where words get redefined to make things more convenient and seem less bad. Throughout the website they don’t do a whole lot of details about exactly how it works except to say it’s a large dose of the same drugs as in regular birth control (which has abortafacient properties.) Regular birth control does 2 things: 1. inhibits ovulation (primary) 2. makes the uterus inhospitable to an embryo in case #1 fails.
From what I can understand, Plan B primarily does #2.
Now, I know Bill Clinton doesn’t know what an embryo is, but I am trusting you do. For the peanut gallery, let’s go through it. An embryo is a fertilized egg. It’s an egg that has been united with a sperm and has begun growing into a human baby. Purposely making the uterine lining inhospitable to the implantation of the embryo results in that embryo passing from the body and dying. Hence, it’s abortion. It’s much “prettier” than chopping a baby up later on in pregnancy, and you don’t really know for sure if you’ve just aborted a baby.
Pretty or not, purposely preventing an embryo from reaching maturity is abortion.
Your line about how making Plan B available to 17-yr-olds will not increase abortions is a red herring on many levels. First of all, since it prevents embryos from implanting it will increase abortions. Secondly, every time new and better contraception becomes available, everyone talks about how there will be far fewer unwanted pregnancies. Yet ever since contraception has been available the number of unwanted pregnancies has increased, thus necessitating the need for legalized abortion. Contraception leads to abortion, history proves it.
