Obama:Babies are a punishment

April 1st, 2008 by Chris

And as the father of 2, let me first say that there are times when it feels like a punishment…

Barack Obama was campaigning recently and explained how he would educate his daughters…he said he’d teach them values and morals, but if they made a mistake, he didn’t want them punished with a baby or an STD.  Apparently, he isn’t interested in teaching them the value of personal responsibility or natural consequences.  They need to have an “out.”  Hmm…think that you might repeat the same mistake over and over if there’s no consequence?  Also telling is that he considers a baby and and STD to be on a similar plane.

Don’t believe me?  Here’s your video clip.

why doesn’t anyone ever seem to remember that there are loads of childless couples who would like to benefit from someone else’s mistake (the sex… not the conception)? i would like to think it was not his intent to say a baby and an std are on the same plane, but who knows.

One would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but let’s clearly remember that he fought legislatively against the idea that a hospital had a legal obligation to provide care for a baby born alive following a failed abortion. point taken. i’m disgusted.

Another angle on this whole thing that’s been brought up on other blogs is that wrapped up in this brief statement shows how contraception logically leads to abortion, both through abortafacient properties of contraceptives and because the acceptance of one has historically led to acceptance of the other. The statement shows how the culture of death (which owns the Democrat party) regards new life. Honestly, Margaret Sanger would be proud. She was a racist who wanted to prevent black people and other undesirables from reproducing, and here’s a (somewhat) black man who has completely bought in to her line of thinking.

whoa, you just jumped about 10 steps ahead. one may have historically led to the other, but the logical connection is not there for many — myself included. the contraceptive issue is one we clearly disagree on in a huge way. but it is your blog.

    Obama’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing…

What a jerk! I was apparently ‘punished’ myself with a baby, when I was unwed and 22. Come to my blog and see what a punishment that ended up being (NOT)!

I pray McCain wins. He’s not the conservative I wish he were, but Obama or Hilary…yuck!

Sara, I was specifically referring to history in my comment – but I do believe that even today those who advocate strongly for abortion are the same people who advocate strongly for contraception, particularly for it to be given out for free to undesirables.  This is demeaning to the humanity of those targeted by such people, first of all because it states that we aren’t interested in them reproducing, and second because it tells them that they are animals incapable of self control.  Eugenics is eugenics, no matter how it’s marketed.

Rusty, I don’t think he’s in sheep’s clothing. He’s not even trying to hide his true positions the way Hillary is.

Rachel – thanks for the link, I read over it.
